Structural Engineering
Hanover Engineering provides a wide range of Structural Engineering services. Our staff has extensive experience in the design of new steel and concrete structures and the design of repairs and reinforcement for existing steel and concrete structures.
We are capable of handling the design of new commercial and industrial facilities and bridges from inception through design, detailing, and construction inspection. Our design capabilities are enhanced by the use of the latest revision of the STAAD-III computer structural analysis program. This program allows the analysis of virtually any size structure for stresses, and allows the computer aided design and/or code checking of member sizes. Our drafting department can provide fabrication detail drawings for structural steel, in conjunction with our designs.
A specialty of our firm is inspection and design engineering for the rehabilitation of existing structures. Hanover Engineering is particularly experienced with the inspection and design of mill buildings, overhead cranes and other industrial structures which may require structural or mechanical maintenance, rerating or reconfiguration.
Structural inspection of bridges, commercial buildings and private dwellings is also available. In addition to visual inspection work, our inspection teams use equipment for dye-penetrate and magnetic particle testing and electronic thickness measurements on structural steel.
Our structural engineering services have ranged from the design of light frame single-story and multistory office buildings to the design of overhead crane girders and columns to support 420-ton teeming cranes for a steel mill basic oxygen furnace building.
